Giorgio Errico

Programme Developer [ITA]

Giorgio, born in 1990, Italian, coach and athlete, lives between athletics tracks and the mountains.
Everyone has read a book that changed their life. For Giorgio, that book was “Optimal Training” by Jürgen Weineck — consulted, read, studied, and worn out since 2013. From that moment on, his professional life took a new direction.

Since 1994 — the year he ran his first 200 meters on a track during a vacation in Ortisei — he has never stopped stepping onto the red oval. First as an athlete, then as a coach, guided by one constant question: how can performance be improved?

He has coached, and continues to coach, athletes of all ages and disciplines: from the young children in the “athletics game” program (ages 5–10) to elite athletes competing in finals and standing on the podium at the Italian Championships. From sprints to hurdles, from jumps to throws, and even combined events.

Thanks to the success of his theoretical-practical course “Strength Training for Master Athletes”, held over four sessions in January 2023, Giorgio further expanded his range of experiences and athletes. The successes and invitations to national and international meets are numerous — but the smiles and improvements of his athletes after every competition are even more so.

Despite the variety of athletes, ages, and disciplines, he maintains his philosophy: train better, not more.

Another meaningful experience has been his work as a Personal Trainer in Functional Training — new athletes, different sports, and innovative approaches. New studies, new achievements. Study, improve, analyze, exchange ideas: an endless circle.

Alongside Weineck’s book, a constant source of inspiration and discussion is Alessandro Vigo — friend, teammate, colleague, and esteemed mentor. When Alessandro reached out, Giorgio proudly accepted the offer to collaborate, taking on an active role within Scirocco TF.

A new journey begins…
